Pioneer Survival Company Courses
The Pioneer Survival Company explores the vast, lush forests and babbling brooks of the Central Ohio region. Our passion for exploration doesn't stop at the borders of the state and neither should yours.
Our goal is to provide YOU with an in-depth learning experience of all the possibilities the outdoors has to offer and prepare you for all the deadly consequences that nature can bring.
We work with a wide array of individuals, community organizations and private businesses. We teach numerous courses to develop a sense of teamwork, individuality, and self reliance. These classes range from: 72 hour emergency skills courses, introduction to survival and safety, concealed carry and gun responsibility, intermediate/advanced outdoor concepts and wilderness first aid.
In August of 2016, brothers Shawn and Eric Seitz, formed The Pioneer Survival Company. For years, the Seitz brothers shared a passion for learning and sharing knowledge of the outdoors. By harnessing skills learned through the Boy Scouts of America, and gaining certifications at various outdoor survival schools, they use this knowledge to aid and teach others about the wonders of the outdoors. Their certifications and skill sets include:
Experience in Travel and Safety curriculums (basic 72 hour survival skills up to long term emergency capabilities).
Demonstrates fundamentals of hunting, fishing, wood-crafting, camping, and homesteading.
USCCA Certified Instructors (CCW).
National Association for Search and Rescue (NASAR) certified as a Wilderness First Responder (WFR)
American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) certified in Blood-borne Pathogens and Basic Life Support, CPR certified, and Wilderness First Responder
The goal of Pioneer Survival Company is to teach the fundamentals of outdoor security, personal safety, and introduce our patrons to a series of skills and habits that will enrich their travel experiences and everyday lives.
